A Home Built Around the View

Saltese Flats is a from-scratch custom home where Katie worked alongside Gordon Finch Homes to design every detail — from the soaring vaulted great room with wood beams and a statement fireplace, to the navy kitchen island, custom walnut hood, and geometric bath tile.

The home is oriented to maximize the dramatic views across the Saltese Flats wetlands toward the mountains. Large black-frame windows frame the prairie landscape from nearly every room, including the master bath's freestanding soaking tub. The process photos capture the full journey — from raw slab to a finished home that feels both grounded and inspired.
